Standardisation & Partnership by magma | Sep 1, 2013 | Articles, Drug Substance Tools, White Papers | 0 comments ‘Single Use Systems have established themselves as the technology of choice for clinical operations in recent years but there are significant supply chain concerns to be mitigated before they can enjoy a similar exalted position in new commercial manufacturing facilities.’ This presentation outlines the main concerns of end users and draws parallels with the automotive industry where over the last two decades that industry has developed supplier partnerships and ways of managing the supply chain and quality that have underpinned a step change in vehicle reliability. It is the belief of the author that a careful customisation of these approaches will help end users and SUS integrators create supply chains that will deliver the reliability and confidence to allow SUS to become the technology of choice for commercial manufacturing in the very near future.
